The majority of the antique hinges we carry are interior butt door hinges, which are made of steel and plated in a variety of finishes/colours. These butt hinges typically have ball-tip finials and the top pin/finial is removable. The most common finishes for these are antique brass, antique bronze, oil-rubbed bronze, and aged nickel.
We refurbish the original plated finish, but please note that the original plated finish for these 100 year old antique hinges, is not uniform or perfect so we encourage our clients to select these in person.
