To say that Tommy is a busy person is an understatement; as Associate Designer at Sarah Richardson Design, he co-hosts HGTV Canada's #1 show Sarah's House as well as Design Inc. and Sarah's Cottage. Needless to say, he always has a lot on his plate. When he comes into our store, however, he takes the time to look around and absorb everything, chat with us about what's new, and has even called friends upon seeing something that he thinks will suit them!

"I do not consider a room complete until it has the right balance of vintage and modern elements. Trends and whimsy are not a focus for me. I strive to create a feeling of timeless elegance and gracious living in soulful environments. Rooms should feel as though the furniture and art within them were collected over time and curated with a sense of personal history."

Whenever I have renovated a home for myself I've used architectural salvage elements from The Door Store. Columns, fireplace mantles, windows and doors from this place have all found new homes in houses I've worked on over the years. I'm told this is "green"; I just think it's chic!"
